Dental Sense is still open 7 days a week to help provide emergency dental treatment to the people of Midland and surrounding suburbs. In fact we have actually extended our trading hours to help people who are in pain!
As at Monday, 27th April 2020 dental clinics will move back to level 2 restrictions. This means the vast majority of dental treatment will be able to recommence. It is important to note that there are still some restrictions on procedures. We are also still taking appropriate precautions to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission.
Throughout the COVID-19 outbreak Dental Sense has remained open to provide emergency treatment for people in need. We have put in place strict cleaning processes for our waiting room to ensure patient safety.
We have added some specific FAQ’s on the COVID-19 outbreak, click here for more information
Don’t delay – time is critical
Keep calm and find the tooth
Pick up the tooth by the crown (whiter part) and avoid touching the root.
DO NOT hold or rub the root surface or let the tooth dry. This is because the living cell lining the root of the tooth could become damaged and die.
DO NOT put the tooth on ice or keep in water.
DO NOT remove any tissue or gum fragments from the tooth. Try to leave the tooth as is.
DO NOT replant a baby tooth. There is a risk of injury to the underlying adult tooth. In doubt, place the tooth in milk and seek dental advice.
If the tooth is dirty, rinse it in milk. Milk not available? rinse briefly (a few seconds) under cold tap water, NOT in antiseptic.
Put the tooth back into the socket. Use the other teeth as a guide.
To keep the tooth in place either bite on a cloth or use finger pressure. Aluminium foil can be used to help stabilise the tooth.
If UNABLE TO PLACE THE TOOTH IN THE SOCKET, keep moist by following one of these alternatives…
DO NOT STORE IN WATER
Call Dental Sense urgently advising that it is a dental emergency and we will try to get you in as quickly as possible. We are the emergency dentist in Midland
